Awakening Beyond the Mind is built for both new and returning students. If you have never sat with Maitreya before, this retreat is the most direct possible introduction to the teaching in its full depth. If you have attended previous retreats or courses, it is a return to the ground — an opportunity to deepen what has already been touched.
The Vancouver retreat centre sits in the foothills of the Coastal Mountains, with walking trails, old-growth temperate rainforest, and the particular silence that only mountains produce. The environment itself is part of the teaching.

Yes. Maitreya teaches to the depth of the room. New students and long-term practitioners attend every retreat. No prior experience is required — only sincere willingness to be present.
What is the cancellation policy?
Full refund up to 60 days before the retreat. 50% refund up to 30 days before. No refund within 30 days, though your place can be transferred to another person.
Is accommodation included?
Yes. The price is all-inclusive: accommodation, all meals, all sessions with Maitreya, and all materials. Travel to and from the retreat is not included.
